Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, good organisational abilities, and strong communication skills to provide exceptional service to our customers.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet deadlines Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting, with care and attention to safety protocols Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented and signed for upon receipt Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any issues encountered during routes Assist in warehouse tasks as needed, including stock organisation and inventory checks

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within commercial driving or warehouse environments Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools is advantageous Strong communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and team members Previous experience in commercial driving or warehouse work is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
