In this

founder-led company you will work closely with the business owner

as a self-employed contractor to provide fantastic service for the British arm of one of the world's largest door to door logistics providers. Starting 8am at DPD's poppleton based depot, you will organise and load parcels into an automatic, electric van to then deliver on average between 100 and 130 consignments per dayshift, all within their scheduled 1 hour delivery slot.

No experience necessary, but driving confidence is a must and commercial driving experience will be highly advantageous. Up to 1 week of comprehensive training will be given at a reduced rate of pay.

Van, insurance and fuel costs provided for by the business.

Full uniform provided upon successful completion of training.

Requirements

Full UK driving license with 3 point or less, no DD,DR,DG,TT or IN category endorsements. Proof is photos of front and back of current driving license on a blank background (white paper preferred) and DVLA online check code associated with this license. DBS check. Proof is photo or screenshot of receipt for online DBS check or photo of recent DBS certificate. Proof of right to work in the UK. Proof is photo of Passport, Birth certificate or other suitable documentation. Proof of National Insurance number. Proof is photo of p45, p60 or National Insurance card.

Shifts patterns

- 3 days per week, Sunday-Tuesday or Thursday to Saturday

Responsibilities

Loading and unloading delivery vehicle. Ensuring accurate and timely deliveries. Occasional heavy lifting as required. Writing out leave safe cards to inform customers of parcels location. Occasionally calling customers for directions or information.

Compensation

A starting rate of

115 per day plus 75p per each parcel over 100 parcels

in a caddy size van, or

125 per day plus 1 per parcel over 100 parcels

in a 3.5 ton van.
