This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our advocacy service in Hull. We offer flexible working hours Monday to Friday. There is no shift work, and we do not work evenings or weekends. Please note, this role does not involve supporting people with their personal care.
The
Parent Advocate
role supports parents in navigating child protection processes and helps them participate and have a voice. It will involve providing face-to-face support to parents, attending meetings with professionals, and attending court hearings. You will help parents understand the information being shared with them and what will happen next.
The
Statutory Advocacy
role will initially focus on providing
Relevant Person's Representative (RPR) Advocacy
for individuals Deprived of their Liberty. The role will also include progression in supporting individuals with Care Act advocacy which will include supporting people in care reviews and needs assessments completed by the local authority.
You will work with people of all ages and individuals with dementia, learning disabilities, autism, physical and sensory impairments, acquired brain injuries, and mental health needs. Advocacy support is provided in various settings, including care homes, hospitals, mental health units, and private homes across Hull and nearby towns and villages.
