Vacancy for Parent & Toddler Qualified Swimming Teacher

The Club

Situated in 42 acres of landscaped grounds adjacent to the River Thames in Fulham, The Hurlingham Club is recognised as one of the world's finest private member clubs. Since its opening in 1869, The Hurlingham Club's croquet and tennis lawns, botanical gardens and stately Georgian Clubhouse have made it a sought-after destination for exclusive sporting and social activities.

The Department

The Fitness team are a large, friendly team responsible for looking after the members and their guests with regards the indoor fitness facilities; Indoor and Outdoor Pools, Gym, studio classes and Treatment Room.

The Role

As a Swimming Teacher you will be responsible for teaching juniors of all levels and abilities and have the skillset to build positive working relationships with members of the Club.

Start date

: 1 January 2026.

Closing date

: 9 November 2025.

Working hours

: 4 hours per week on Saturday mornings.

Pay rate

: 33 to 35 per hour.

The role will be subject to satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check results, either at a cost of 59 or, if you are subscribed, via the online DBS status check.

The successful applicant will need to be able to meet the following requirements:

A relevant and approved Swimming Instructor Qualification (min. Swim England Level 2 Swim Teacher or equivalent).

SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming to babies and toddlers.

A genuine passion for swimming and helping others achieve.

Outstanding service skills with the ability to go the extra mile.

Strong engagement and communication skills.

Proven experience teaching excellent junior swimming lessons in a group and private basis.

Competent in completing the necessary paperwork, including swimming progress sheets, recommendation sheets and invoicing procedures.

Ensuring a safe learning environment is provided for swimmers, members and Club staff

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: 33.00-35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 per week
