The Response Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of services within the organisation. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can efficiently manage data entry tasks, maintain accurate records, and support various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will possess admin/secretarial experience, demonstrate strong organisational skills to effectively respond to queries of local, Local Government, and other issues. Experience in a similar role would be advantageous, with a knowledge of website maintenenca (training will be given.) A laptop is provided for this role and a working from home allowance is also payable monthly.
Responsibilities
Manage and process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
Perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date financial records.
Utilise accounting software, currently Scribe is used, (training will be given) for various financial operations.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and documentation as required.
Respond promptly to inquiries related to financial services and provide assistance to team members.
Collaborate with other services to ensure seamless financial operations.
Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information at all times.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar or a related field would be helpful.
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Workday, PeopleSoft, Sage, or Xero is highly desirable. Currently SCRIBE is used.
Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and stakeholders.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A degree of patience, understanding and diplomacy when dealing with members of the public.
