The Finance Officer will join our Support Services staff team in a pivotal role in working with finance volunteers and overseeing day-to-day management of parish accounts and payroll. This includes:
Develop systems to enable efficient finance operations to bring individual church accounts into one set of parish accounts
Manage finance using 'My Fund Accounting Online' software (training provided)
Support development of budgets and implement financial decisions made by PCC
Oversee day to day transactions, payments, invoices, payroll.
Use MFAO to complete bank reconcilations, produce management reports and annual financial statements.
We are looking for somebody to work 22.5 hours per week @ 13.20 per hour (we are willing to consider between 16-25 hours per week,
some

Qualifications
Competent bookkeeper qualified by experience
Strong understanding of accounts payable and financial services
Experience with data entry and financial reporting
Experienced in using accounting (MFAO) and payroll packages
Ability to manage financial records accurately and efficiently
Experience of working within a charity context
Relevant certifications in finance or accounting (AAT) are a plus
