Job Summary



Dance&Arts LTD is seeking an energetic, confident, and movement-focused

Parkour Instructor

to lead our afterschool club in a primary school in Clapton, East London. This role is ideal for someone with strong physical literacy, experience in parkour or movement training, and a passion for teaching children in a safe, structured, and fun environment.

You will deliver foundational parkour sessions designed to improve agility, balance, coordination, spatial awareness, strength, and confidence. The focus is on teaching safe movement progressions, obstacle-based challenges, and creative physical exploration in a supportive, non-competitive setting.
This position is paid and suitable for both experienced parkour instructors and dynamic teachers with strong movement backgrounds.

Responsibilities



Plan and deliver structured, age-appropriate parkour sessions for KS2 pupils (ages 8-11). Teach foundational parkour skills such as safe landing, rolling, vaults, balance, and controlled movement. Create fun movement circuits or obstacle-based challenges that encourage problem-solving and confidence-building. Ensure all activities prioritize safety, clear instruction, and age-appropriate progression. Inspire students to participate fully and develop a positive relationship with physical activity. Maintain an upbeat, encouraging, and well-managed class environment. Communicate effectively with school staff and the Dance&Arts coordination team. Follow safeguarding and health & safety standards at all times.

Experience and Skills



Experience teaching parkour, movement training, gymnastics, physical education, or similar disciplines (preferred). Strong understanding of fundamental movement patterns, safe landing/rolling techniques, and child-friendly parkour progressions. Excellent energy, communication, and group management skills. Enthusiastic, reliable, and capable of creating a safe and engaging atmosphere. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Qualifications in parkour, PE, gymnastics coaching, or relevant movement training are desirable but not essential.
Job Type: Freelance

Pay: 40.00-45.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
