The ECE Sussex studio is seeking a talented and motivated Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of residential projects and progress in your architectural career within a supportive and progressive practice.

Position overview

As a Part 2 Architectural Assistant at ECE Architecture, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various stages of the design and construction process. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Assisting Senior members of the team in the development of design concepts and presentations. Conducting research and preparing drawings and models to communicate design ideas effectively. Collaborating with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure the smooth execution of projects. Participating in site visits and construction inspections to gain practical experience. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Essential qualifications and experience

To be considered for this position, you should meet the following criteria:


Have completed your Masters in Architecture from an accredited institution. Have 1+ year UK practice experience working on medium to large scale residential projects. Proficiency in industry-standard software, such as AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite. Revit experience is beneficial but not essential. Strong conceptual and design skills, with the ability to think creatively and critically. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and clients. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A keen interest in sustainable design and a desire to contribute to the creation of environmentally conscious buildings. A portfolio demonstrating your design abilities and technical skills.

ECE Sussex is a modern, highly sociable studio, just a stone throw from the seafront in West Sussex.


The studio is conveniently located within a short walk of Worthing and East Worthing train station and there is free parking within a 15-minute walk.
