We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Scaffolder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and dismantling scaffolding structures on various sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the safe and efficient completion of construction tasks. Previous experience in carpentry, roofing, or other construction trades is highly advantageous. Responsibilities
Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures in accordance with engineering plans and safety regulations.
Inspect scaffolding components regularly for damage or wear, ensuring all equipment is secure and safe for use.
Collaborate with site managers and other trades to coordinate scaffold installation around ongoing construction activities.
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to assemble scaffolding components accurately.
Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised to promote safety and efficiency on site.
Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist with the transportation of materials around the site as required.
Report any safety concerns or hazards immediately to supervisors.
Qualifications
Part 2 CISRS card.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Knowledge of fabrication processes relevant to scaffold assembly is advantageous.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to working at height and construction sites.
Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions accurately.
Good organisational skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
Relevant certifications in scaffolding and working at height are essential; training will be provided where necessary.
