Job Description

We're a fast-growing accountancy firm based in North Essex, and we're looking for an experienced and motivated

Accountant

to join our small but dynamic team.

office-based role

, located in a rural village with limited public transport -- access to your own transport is highly recommended.

About You:

AAT qualified (or equivalent) Previous experience working in an accountancy

practice environment

is essential Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review accounts and tax computations for

Limited Companies

and

Sole Traders

Take accounts to trial balance Review client bookkeeping work and provide feedback Prepare

VAT returns

(including partial exemption cases) Run and manage

payroll

for a range of clients Produce accurate and timely

management accounts

Identify and explain tax issues clearly to clients Build and maintain strong client relationships Work to deadlines and manage your own workload effectively Communicate clearly with the Director and team Use accounting software confidently (knowledge of multiple platforms is a plus) Support with ad-hoc tasks as required
