The Role: Part Time Accounts and Purchasing Assistant

We're on the lookout for a
Part Time Accounts and Purchasing Assistant
to help co-ordinate the companies daily activities.
Key responsibilities for the role:
Assist with core finance operations and transactional accounts
Process purchase ledger entries and associated queries
Support bank reconciliations and cashflow tracking
Maintain accurate records and contribute to basic month end processes.
Collate and prepare payment batches for online banking
The Role This role encompasses the following responsibilities:
Daily and forward order planning via specific inhouse software and liaising with key internal staff.
Support the processing of pro-forma invoices.
Supporting the processing of order confirmations.
Assisting with raising purchase orders.
Updating our internal CMS (Brightpearl) to ensure that it reflects accurate information in real time.
Provide holiday cover and general day to day support to the Finance Manager
Work collaboratively to keep things running smoothly
What we're looking for:
Previous experience in a finance/account's role, ideally within an SME
A confident grasp of double entry bookkeeping, journal entry and financial processes
Experience using accounting software (Brightpearl experience would be an asset).
AAT level would be desirable but not a prerequisite
Confident in Microsoft office with good excel skills
A proactive, reliable working style
Someone hands on, with a good sense of when to step up and support
Salary, benefits and additional information:
14- 15.50 per hour depending on experience
Regular 30 hours + per week plus holiday cover
21 days holiday+ Bank Holidays (pro rata)
