Summary

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our dedicated and friendly team in Steeple Morden SG8 0NZ. As our Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our small team in a range of accounting tasks. You'll have a flexible, helpful and proactive attitude. Hours to be discussed but this role requires someone who can work in the afternoons.

Responsibilities

Assist with day to day financial processes and transactions Able to prepare monthly accounts up to management level Posting purchase invoices using Dext and Xero. Reconciliation of accounts and able to resolve discrepancies. Process sales invoices Handle customer/supplier accounts queries by phone and email. General admin duties within the Accounts Dept, including credit control

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role ( ideally AAT Level 3 or similar) Must be proficient in the use of Xero. Methodical and able to multi task Excellent attention to detail and great organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Excellent numerical skills High level of spoken and written English
