Your Day-to-Day Impact





We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Apprenticeship Trainer to support the professional development of apprentices across diverse programmes. You will deliver high-quality training, coaching, and assessment, ensuring apprentices gain the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to excel in their roles and successfully complete their apprenticeships. This role is vital in driving positive outcomes and fostering strong employer engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Training and Coaching



Own the end-to-end apprenticeship journey, delivering engaging, industry-specific training via face-to-face, online, and workplace methods. Develop tailored learning plans based on individual starting points, embed key themes like Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I), and conduct regular progress reviews with apprentices and employers.

Assessment and Feedback



Assess apprentices' work against standards, provide constructive feedback, and prepare them for end-point assessments. Maintain accurate assessment records within the e-portfolio system.

Employer Engagement



Work collaboratively with employers to design compliant training plans, support workplace development, and foster strong partnerships alongside the college's business development team.

Learner Support



Provide academic and pastoral support, removing barriers to learning and ensuring apprentices receive tailored career guidance.

Quality Assurance and Compliance



Produce regular reports, adhere to quality assurance processes, comply with funding rules, and actively participate in audits including Ofsted inspections.

Professional Development and Senior Trainer Duties



Engage in continuous professional development and support the wider team through internal quality assurance, external verifier liaison, inspection preparation, and staff training.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE



Proven experience in delivering training and coaching within an apprenticeship or educational setting. Relevant teaching and/or assessor qualifications (e.g., PTLLS, A1 Assessor Award, TAQA) are desirable Relevant IQA qualifications or a willingness to work towards are desirable Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and frameworks, including assessment and end-point assessment requirements. Experience in working with employers to support workplace learning and development. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in using e-portfolio systems and Microsoft Office applications. A relevant vocational qualification or industry experience in the subject area being delivered.
