Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team in our baby room. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in caring for children under 2, and play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to children in a nurturing environment. This position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage and lead activities that promote children's development.

Responsibilities



Provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children aged 0-5 years. Plan and implement engaging educational activities that support the developmental needs of each child. Observe and assess children's progress, through professional judgement. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare and education. Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and early learning. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, ensuring all children are cared for appropriately. Drive initiatives that promote children's well-being and social skills within the nursery setting.

Skills



Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Leadership abilities to guide and inspire both children and colleagues. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour. A genuine passion for childcare and the development of young children. A valid driving licence is advantageous but not essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.30-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
