We are looking for bar staff & baristas to join our team in our bar on Portishead Marina!

Sidney & Eden Portishead is a new Craft Beer, Coffee & Cocktail bar with a fantastic quality drink selection, our second venue after our one on Gloucester Road in Bristol we have a concept and style that has worked well there for the past 4+ years, getting great reviews making us the highest rated craft beer bar and cocktail bar in Bristol and we're excited to bring it to Portishead.

Requirements for candidates:

Craft Beer, Coffee or Cocktail knowledge, experience in hospitality or a real willingness to learn, training will be given on anything you haven't done before.

Responsibilities

Ensure exceptional customer service and hospitality throughout the establishment. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency and quality in every cup. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have about the menu. Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe environment for both staff and customers. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods while managing time effectively. Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by supporting colleagues and helping where needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a barista or bartending role is advantageous but not essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices is preferred. A background in hospitality or restaurant settings is beneficial. Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards helping customers.
We will have a range of hours from 5-15 hours per week to suit different needs and have 1 position available

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
