We are seeking a friendly and professional part time Sunday Server to join our dynamic team. 12-5 every Sunday lunch at the Wild Mushroom, Westfield. Transport is essential due to our rural location. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a fine dining professional restaurant environment, ensuring that customers have a memorable dining experience. This role involves, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is preferred, as training will be provided. The successful applicant will be organised, of clean presentation, attentive to detail, and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
Take accurate food and beverage orders using the point-of-sale system
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their meal and addressing any concerns
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and surrounding areas
Follow food safety procedures and hygiene standards at all times
Assist with basic food preparation when required
Handle payments accurately and provide correct change or receipts
Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow
Skills
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment
Good organisational skills and time management abilities
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Knowledge of food preparation and culinary techniques is beneficial
Kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus but not essential
Effective communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
Upselling skills to enhance guest experience while increasing sales potential
