BRIEF SUMMARY OF JOB ROLE
We are seeking to recruit a Catering Assistant who will be responsible for assisting the catering department in all aspects including providing a service to pupils, staff and supporting the school events throughout the year.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As allocated by the Chef Manager, but in general, cover the following points:-
Cleaning the Dining Room, Main Kitchen, Stores and Wash Up Area.
Washing up either manually or using the Dishwashing Machine provided.
Disposal of rubbish to the Skip.
Setting tables for various functions such as breakfast, supper, extra functions and special functions.
Helping in the main kitchen with vegetable preparation, preparing sandwiches, salad bar, putting stock away, preparing sandwiches and serving and clearing at functions.
Leaving the kitchen clean and tidy for the next day's service.
Following all Hygiene Food Safety Procedures set out in the Food Safety Manual.
Maintain a professional image at all times.
Support hospitality requests.
Provide a flexible approach to catering needs including events on site.
