Duties
Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production, ensuring high-quality standards are met consistently.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste to ensure cost-effective operations.
Train new kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and restaurant policies.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Monitor kitchen equipment for proper functioning and coordinate maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or catering environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, showcasing creativity in menu design.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen staff and management.
