We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to work along side our head chef throughout the week and evenings when necessary. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with a focus on quality, presentation, and food safety. This role requires confidence within a kitchen environment and previous experience working with a traditional menu.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
Work well as a team member.
Develop and implement innovative menu items within the budget that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor food production processes to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes.
Handle any customer feedback or complaints regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or hospitality setting, with strong culinary skills.
Supervising experience in a kitchen environment is essential.
Comprehensive knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for cooking and creativity in food preparation is highly desirable.
