Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining high quality and presentation. Assist in managing kitchen operations, including supervising junior kitchen staff and coordinating with team members. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new dishes and improve existing recipes. Support the team by helping with various tasks during busy service periods.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation within a kitchen or restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate team members. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment used in food production. A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills.
