Overview

Tia's Mexican, Durham is looking for a Part Time chef to join our growing family. We are a small independent restaurant with a big personality and are looking for someone fun and flexible to work in our kitchen.

At Tia's, our team members are our priority; hours will be flexible dependant on the need of the business which will also allow us the opportunity to meet the needs of the right candidate.

Food hygiene certificate and previous food preparation experience required.

Responsibilities

Involved in daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications. Team work - have the right attitude to work together to deliver the best results. Manage food production processes, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with management to consistently improve menu offerings. Monitor inventory levels and communicate for ordering of supplies as needed.

Skills

Proven experience in a food preparation environment with previous kitchen experience. Excellent food prep and cooking skills, with knowledge of various ingredients Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Knowledge of food intolerances desirable. Previous restaurant experience will help you stand out from the crowd. Great organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 25 per week
