Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient food production
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Supervise, train, and manage kitchen staff to maintain high performance levels and team cohesion
Ensure all food safety regulations and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to at all times
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control stock levels to minimise waste and optimise costs
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Develop new menu items in line with current trends and customer preferences
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment within the kitchen
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
Experience in food production, culinary arts, and hospitality service is highly desirable
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
