We are seeking a Chef to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, works well within a team or as an individual and has a decent background in kitchen operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase their culinary skills while operating in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring high standards of food safety, and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Must be willing to work weekends and evenings.
Responsibilities
Lead the kitchen to ensure efficient operation and high-quality food production
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and standards
Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper storage procedures
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management and ordering supplies
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service and meet customer expectations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Responsible for full close downs of the kitchen
Skills
Basic knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Strong time management
Good understanding of food safety regulations and standards
Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments essential
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
