Job Overview

We are seeking a part time chef to join are friendly small team! You will we working in our kitchen helping to create new exciting menu ideas while creating dishes from scratch for our current menu. We serve a variety of food including breakfasts , lunch and afternoon tea that is all freshly made in house. We are looking for a happy easy going person that will fit into our team but someone who isn't afraid of hard work . We offer good social hours from 8am to 4pm that sometimes extend if we have been busy. the job will require working weekends but not every weekend.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards and regulations. Oversee kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment, with a focus on culinary excellence. Excellent team management skills, fostering a positive work environment. Proficient in food preparation techniques, with the ability to cook various cuisines. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen. Passion for culinary arts and a desire to continually improve skills and knowledge in the field.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-18.70 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 32 per week
