Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to manage our kitchen for Sunday lunches and for social, business and event lunches and dinners (maximum of 80 diners)

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, with a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Duties

Oversee required kitchen operations, ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the required menu and specifications. Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Supervise food presentation and plating to maintain aesthetic appeal and quality. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Assist in menu planning, including developing new recipes and seasonal offerings. Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. Train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, safety practices, and restaurant policies - if and when required.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house staff. A passion for cooking and a desire to create exceptional dining experiences for guests.
