Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Oversee all aspects of food production, including menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and presentation. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and safety protocols. Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration, creativity, and professional growth.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a kitchen or restaurant setting. Strong background in food production and preparation techniques. Excellent team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others. Extensive culinary experience with a passion for cooking and creating innovative dishes. Solid knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to maintain high hygiene standards. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
