Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team for every Saturday, holiday cover and our speciality evenings 2 twice a month. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality while delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced environment. Wages and hours to be discussed.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance. Develop and execute menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in compliance with regulations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Train new kitchen personnel in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Innovate and experiment with new recipes to keep the menu fresh and exciting.

Requirements

Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Proficiency in food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
