Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef/Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with the ability to create delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while adhering to food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and menus. Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness and organisation at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and manage meal preparation. Maintain food safety standards by following proper hygiene practices and procedures. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices. Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience. Ensure timely service of meals while maintaining quality and presentation standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Previous kitchen experience is essential; restaurant experience is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
