Job Description

The Role:

We are seeking a Part-Time Kitchen Assistant to support our Head Chef and kitchen team in delivering high-quality food that meets Grain's standards. You'll assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and play a key role in ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly during service.

Responsibilities:

Assist with food preparation, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients. Support the Head Chef in assembling grab-and-go dishes and cafe menu items. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning work areas. Help manage stock levels by properly storing ingredients and supplies. Follow food hygiene and safety procedures to uphold the highest standards. Assist with other kitchen tasks as directed by the Head Chef or kitchen team.
About You:

Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role (preferred but not essential). Passionate about food and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. A team player with a positive and can-do attitude. Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Flexible and reliable, with availability to work shifts, including weekends. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is a plus, but training will be provided.
