We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Part Time Chef/Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills as well as being able to take direction, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food. As a key member of our kitchen management, you will support the Head Chef in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, and motivating the kitchen team to achieve excellence. Duties
Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to our organisational standards and protocols
Lead food preparation and cooking as per the menu, maintaining consistency and presentation quality
Manage food production processes, including inventory control and ordering supplies as needed
Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with hygiene standards
Contribute to menu planning and development alongside the Head Chef
Ensure all dishes meet quality standards before service
Qualifications
Proven experience within a professional kitchen environment in food preparation and cooking techniques
A current level 2 hygiene certificate is a bonus but willing to obtain on post also an option
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is essential
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards service excellence
Experience in serving or front-of-house operations is advantageous but not mandatory
The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering outstanding dining experiences while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. The days of work are currently set to Thursday, Saturday and holiday cover with additional hours available. Flexibility to cover busier times would be advantageous.

Pay: 14.50 per hour
