SSG provides temporary accommodation and essential support services to individuals experiencing homelessness across three locations in Manchester. We are committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all residents and staff.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our accommodation sites, including communal areas, offices, and individual rooms. This is a flexible, part-time role suited to those available during school hours or seeking bank work, with potential for full-time employment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain communal areas including kitchens, toilets, offices, and hallways (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, emptying bins) Perform end-of-tenancy deep cleans for vacated resident rooms Conduct daily Health & Safety checks (e.g., showerhead cleaning, room condition checks) Report cleaning supply needs to your line manager Adhere to all Health & Safety and COSHH regulations Follow all internal policies and procedures Communicate regularly with residents and staff Work under the guidance and supervision of the Senior Support Worker Occasionally provide cover or attend other sites when needed

Requirements:

Previous experience in a cleaning role preferred Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Enhanced DBS check (required) Good communication and teamwork skills Right to work in the UK Flexible and willing to adjust hours based on operational needs
