We are currently looking for flexible, part-time cleaning operatives to join our team at Ulster University, Jordanstown.

Job Overview

As a Cleaning Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout student accommodation and communal university areas. You'll work as part of a friendly team, and while experience is preferred, full training will be provided.

Shifts are flexible and scheduled weekly. You may also be asked to cover shifts at short notice, so a reliable and adaptable attitude is essential.

Main Responsibilities

Clean student bedrooms and shared areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, and hallways Disinfect high-touch surfaces and maintain hygienic environments Replenish supplies (e.g. soap, toilet roll, bin liners) in communal areas Handle waste disposal and follow recycling guidelines Report any maintenance issues or damage to supervisors Follow all health and safety procedures at all times Use and store cleaning equipment correctly and safely

Ideal Candidate Profile

Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential) Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to work independently and follow instructions Good communication skills in English Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team Driving licence is a bonus, but not required
