Competitive, qualifications dependant: Up to FA level 1 qualified 12.50 per session, FA level 2 15, UEFA B or above 15 - 30 per session

Job Purpose



The Coach will deliver high-quality, inclusive, and engaging coaching sessions. They will contribute to the development of players in line with the Ferdinand Collective's philosophy: "Empowering the player, Building the person." The role includes assisting with player development, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring adherence to safeguarding and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities



Coaching and Session Support:

Planning and delivering training sessions on the pitch and within schools. Provide individual and group coaching to players to enhance their technical, tactical, and physical skills. Ensure all sessions are age-appropriate and aligned with the Collective's coaching framework. Sessions: After school club, PE lessons, Holiday Club

Player Development:

Support the progress of individual players by offering constructive feedback and guidance. Promote pathways for players to progress in sports, education, and employment opportunities. Encourage equal participation from all players, including girls and underrepresented groups.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the Lead Coach and other staff to achieve program objectives. Support volunteers and junior coaches, providing guidance and mentorship as needed. Uphold professionalism and teamwork in all activities.

Compliance and Safeguarding:

Ensure all activities comply with the organization's safeguarding and health & safety policies. Maintain up-to-date first aid and safeguarding qualifications. Report any concerns in line with organizational procedures.

Communication and Reporting:

Maintain clear and positive communication with players, parents, and other stakeholders. Assist in maintaining accurate attendance and player development records. Provide feedback and reports to the Lead Coach as required.

Community Engagement:

Support community outreach initiatives and events. Promote the Collective's mission and values through engagement with participants and families.

Person Specification



Essential Qualifications and Experience:



FA Level 1 - UEFA C License (or equivalent) in Coaching Football (desirable). Valid First Aid and Safeguarding Certificates. Experience coaching within grassroots, academy, or school football environments.

Desirable Qualifications:



Experience working with underrepresented groups, including girls and diverse communities.

Skills and Attributes:



Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Passion for coaching and player development. Commitment to the Ferdinand Collective's mission and values.

Working Conditions



Hours:

Part-time/flexible, including evenings and weekends, as required by training and match schedules.

Travel:

Travel to training sessions, matches, and events as necessary.
