Job Description
Swn-y-Gan is a small friendly Nursing Home in the village of Penclawdd Swansea.
We are committed to ensuring that we have a positive working environment for all employees.
We currently have a vacancy for a part-time cook/ kitchen assistant to come and work with our great team. This is a part-time role which we anticipate to be 24 hours per week (hours to be agreed).
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare meals set out on the set menu
- To undertake a range of tasks associated with food preparation
- To work with the head cook with the baking of cakes for afternoon tea if necessary
- To keep accurate records, receiving, rotating, and inventory of products and regulatory
compliance.
- To ensure that the kitchen cleaning rota is adhered to at all times and that the kitchen is hygienically clean and the floor mopped when necessary
- To assist the Head Cook with the ordering of supplies if requested to do so
