Job Summary

Chiseldon Sports and Social Club (CSSC) have a vacancy for a Part-Time Evening Cook.

CSSC is a family friendly, community focused Members Club. We have a diverse membership and offer a very competitively priced and well stocked bar, a range of entertainment with regular live music, darts, pool, snooker, plus a weekly Quiz, Bingo and Craft Market.

We have a small, well equipped kitchen and are currently seeking a competent Cook to provide meals and snacks for our members on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

This role would be suitable for a good home cook or, of course, a qualified chef.

Responsibilities

Preparing and cooking a range of simple but tasty 'Family Favourite' meals and 'Weekly Club Specials' for our Members Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in line with food safety regulations Washing up & cleaning of the kitchen Collaborating with the Bar Manager and wider CSSC team to ensure efficient, cost effective, Member-focused service Serving our Members in a warm, friendly and professional manner Catering for ad hoc Club events - e.g. buffets etc. Contributing ideas for menu development Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed

Requirements

Experience and confidence in food preparation and cooking Awareness of food safety regulations Food Hygiene and Safety Level 2 For Catering Certificate (or willingness to complete) Ability to work independently and to continue to smile when under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both Club Members and the CSSC team

Hours

Initially, we can offer 12 hours a week as follows:

Thursday: 6:30pm - 10:30pm Friday: 6:30pm - 10:30pm Saturday: 6:30pm - 10:30pm
There may be scope for these hours to increase, subject to business demand.
