Overview

We are hiring for a part time deli assistant to join our busy team in-store. You must be flexible to work various shifts which will include early mornings/ weekends.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli products. You will play a crucial part in maintaining food safety standards and ensuring that our customers receive high-quality food items.

Previous experience is beneficial however not essential as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve deli products, including hot dishes, meats, cheeses and salads, while adhering to food safety guidelines. Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and upselling additional items to enhance their experience. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and sanitised. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the section during peak hours. Stay informed about new menu items and promotions to effectively assist customers.

Experience

Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting. Excellent communication skills to engage with customers and provide assistance as needed. A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment is essential.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
