Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, making it essential for candidates to possess a good level of physical fitness.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate deliveries. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transit. Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation of goods.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving experience. Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including vans and lorries. Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively. Capability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is required.
