Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Delivery Driver 3 days per week 9-6pm (with one hour lunch break) to collect prescriptions from 10 GP surgeries daily and to deliver medicines and dosette boxes to patients , contributing to the overall efficiency of the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

To engage with GP practices and the Pharmacy team to optimise the collection of prescriptions from a regular group pf practices on a daily basis. To work with the pharmacy team to co-ordinate timely delivery of weekly dosette boxes to support vulnerable patients supported in their medicine taking. To deliver medicines to patients registered for our delivery service and for one off delivery of urgent prescriptions such as antibiotics to patients in need and to provide excellent customer service. To participate in cleaning and maintaining the vehicle provided for delivery working with a second driver to ensure a safe and organised work environment at all times. Collaborate with team members to enhance patient care services.

Skills

To have and maintain a clean driving licence and clearance from disclosure Scotland under the protecting vulnerable groups (PVG) scheme Strong commitment to patient care and safety. Excellent communication skills, patience and the ability to interact with patients who may be ill and not feeling at their best. Ability to work effectively as an individual and in a team-oriented environment. Attention to detail and good organisational skills.
