Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, making it essential for candidates to possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Duties

Drive a delivery vehicle to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations. Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of all products. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and inventory counts. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist in the warehouse as needed, including organising stock and preparing orders for delivery.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record. Over the age of 25 (for insurance purposes) Experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) as required during loading and unloading processes. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous but not mandatory. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service. Flexibility in working hours, including potential early starts or late finishes as required by the delivery schedule.
