Job Summary

We are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurses to join our dynamic dental practice on a job share basis. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic. This position requires excellent communication skills and a strong ability to organise tasks effectively while maintaining a friendly and professional environment for patients.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance. Provide exceptional patient care by reassuring patients, answering their questions, and ensuring their comfort throughout their visit. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, using IT systems efficiently. Sterilise instruments and manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle administrative tasks as required to keep the practice running smoothly. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote better dental health.

Skills

Strong patient care skills with the ability to empathise with patients' needs and concerns. Proficient IT skills for managing patient records and using dental software applications effectively. Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, to communicate clearly with patients and colleagues. Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience as a nurse or in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
