Please note that in applying for this role, you must be Hep B immunized, and either qualified or on a recognizable Dental nursing course.

You'll assist dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. This position is perfect for those seeking flexible hours while gaining valuable experience in a supportive setting.

Duties

Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a clean and safe environment for every patient Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, and check-ups Provide excellent patient care by offering reassurance, explaining procedures, and managing patient comfort Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment notes in compliance with data protection regulations Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and stock management Adhere strictly to health and safety policies, including infection control procedures and PPE usage

Experience

Previous experience working as a dental nurse or relevant healthcare assistant role is preferred but not essential; training opportunities are available for enthusiastic trainees Knowledge of dental software systems and radiography techniques is advantageous Strong communication skills with the ability to reassure and engage patients of all ages Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining clinical standards Certification in dental nursing or current trainee status with an understanding of relevant regulations (e.g., GDC registration or trainee program)
