Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team preferably to the hours of 11am-3pm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance, along with excellent communication skills. This role involves driving various types of vehicles, including vans and flatbeds, to ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

Operate vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Assist with loading and unloading cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of goods. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance tasks on vehicles when necessary. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.

Requirements

Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings if required.
