Job Summary

Driver needed initially to work 1-2 days per week with opportunity to work full time work later. Multi drop experience preferred in collections throughout the North East from donators of charity bags of clothing and bric-a-brac to our base in Washington.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding picking up and delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations. Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with customers upon pickup of charity bags of clothing and brick-a-brac. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Experience

Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver is essential. Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial for understanding logistics operations. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with team members and customers.
