Job Overview:

We are seeking a Part Time Transit Van Driver/Yard Operative to join our team at our Gallowhill Site.

Salary Range is 25k-28k

PRO RATA

Within our organisation you will play a vital role in Deliveries and Collections for our customers on a face to face basis, whilst also assisting with various labouring tasks in our busy yard.

Key Responsibilities:

Transit Van collection of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, delivery of consumables. Assist Yard Foreman with general laboring work within yard environment of bulking and sorting of waste Loading and unloading of Special Waste from Transfer Station/Customer Sites Correct Completion of all Waste Paperwork & ensuring waste is Labelled correctly. To liaise with Site Chemist ensuring that Hazardous Waste is correctly identified Assisting with on and off-site listing, packaging, and preparation of Waste Loads (Hazardous and Non-Hazardous) Carrying out Interceptor Sampling at various customer sites (training provided) Ensure vehicles, plant and equipment are properly maintained/serviced with all required checks carried out. To work to OSW IMS Policy and Procedures (QHSE)

Experience / Skills:

Aware of OSW IMS Policy and Procedures (QHSE) Full clean driving license Forklift experience and Dangerous Good Transport Experience (not essential as training would be provided) Chemical Awareness Training Use of PPE Working outside Taking written and verbal instruction Good customer care and communication skills Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from superiors Good numeracy and literacy skills; Good communication skills; Committed to offering first class customer service;
