An exciting opportunity has arisen for an English and maths lecturer to join our English, Maths, Creative and Digital team reporting to the Curriculum Manager for English and maths. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled lecturer to join a high performing curriculum team.





As a English and maths lecturer with Stockton Riverside College you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning across a range of English and maths programmes, ensuring that lessons are engaging, inclusive, and tailored to meet the needs of all learners. You will plan and deliver effective lessons, assess learners' progress through examinations and continuous assessment, and provide constructive feedback to support achievement and progression. You will also contribute to the wider work of the department through participation in curriculum development, team meetings, and quality assurance activities.





The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, adaptable, organised, have excellent IT and problem-solving skills, the ability to work to high levels or accuracy and have attention to detail, be willing to learn and develop.




Qualifications and experience required:




A degree in a related field. Certificate in Education/PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) Additional qualifications specific to teaching English and maths in Further Education.
