Duties:
Ownership of purchase ledger processes.
Producing payroll information for 3rd party payroll bureau.
-Wage reconciliations
-Preparing & posting of journals
Control of petty cash.
Credit cards and expenses.
Cashbook postings and bank reconciliations.
Preparing monthly payment run.
Credit control - obtaining credit limit decisions from credit insurers and requesting payment from customers.
Monitoring accounts email inbox.
What you will need:
You will have a minimum of 2 yrs experience in a similar role and can quickly pick up the routine tasks with ease.
You should be able to work with autonomy but also work well within a multi-disciplinary team.
A well-rounded finance professional who is familiar with the wide range of tasks that can be involved with an SME finance function.
Able to identify opportunities for simplification, optimisation and standardisation of processes & suggest ways to implement change.
Experience of using an ERP system (preferably Epicor).
AAT or studying towards AAT
Strong I.T skills including Excel.
Good organisational skills.
Personable and a good communicator - you will be able to liaise across various departments to find answers and resolve issues.
Self-motivated and pro-active approach.
Reliably commute to Clayton-le-Moors in Accrington.
