The Bristol Care Group is a growing and ambitious company currently seeking an experienced, proactive, and detail-focused Finance Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on and varied role with responsibility for all aspects of financial management across the business.
You will play a key role in supporting the organisation's growth by overseeing core financial functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, and strong financial controls. This is an exciting opportunity to join a young company with big ambitions and to act as a finance leader supporting its expansion.
The role is remote but requires attendance at regular meetings in the Bristol area.
Financial Management
? Daily bookkeeping including accounts payable/receivable, payroll and cash flow.
? Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
? Maintain accurate records in Xero.
? Lead year-end processes.
? Oversee all purchasing and ensure robust tracking of procurement activity.
Budget & Forecasting
? Produce accurate and timely financial reports, cashflow forecasts and budget updates
? Analyse financial performance and provide insights to management
? Support financial modelling for business decisions and cost-saving opportunities
? Monitor cash flow and working capital needs
Accounting Oversight
? Ensure accurate and timely month-end close.
? Strengthen internal controls and financial procedures.
Compliance
? Maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
? Liaise with external accountants as required.
? Identify financial risks and suggest mitigation strategies.
Qualifications & Skills
? Proven experience in a Finance Controller or senior finance role
? Hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
? Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the finance function
? ACMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience.
? 4-7 years of finance or accounting experience.
