Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Take orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate. Serve food and beverages in accordance with food safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Assist with food preparation as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally, striving to exceed their expectations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and service flow. Maintain cleanliness of the front of house area, including dining tables, utensils, and menus.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing orders effectively. Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. A passion for guest services with a friendly demeanour and strong communication skills. Experience in serving or kitchen roles will be beneficial but not mandatory. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
