Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care, while also being able to follow care plans accurately.

Responsibilities

Assist residents or clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the resident's condition. Drive to various locations as required for home care visits. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes. Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing. Competence in following care plans and understanding individual needs. A valid driving licence is advantageous for home visits. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication are required. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
