As Hot Food / Deli Counter Assistant you will work as part of the deli team to prepare high quality hot and cold deli products in our busy Kennys Foodfare, Newtownabbey (near Corrs Corner Roundabout).
We have flexible opportunities for staff to work 16 - 24 hours per week. (Monday to Sunday) . Hours are from 6am to 3pm. We can discuss rota options with applicants which could include 8am or 9am starts. We would also welcome students who are available to work at the weekends. Applicants must be 16 years or over.
Your duties will include:
- Assist in preparing the counter to serve customer in a fast paced environment.
- Wrap/package goods for the customer , ensuring the appropriate price is attached for payment at the till area.
Complete production, wastage, temperature and cleaning records
Maintain high levels of cleanliness at all times adhering to the Company's daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedule.
Greet and serve customers, advise of available offerings and maintain the standards of the deli counters
We would like you to have:
Previous experience in deli/food service (preferred but not essential) Good team working skills Excellent customers service skills An interest in cooking or relevant cooking experience High standard of cleanliness Health and Hygiene Certificate (preferred but not essential)
